Hobart é a capital e maior cidade do estado australiano da Tasmânia. A Grande Hobart (Greater Hobart) possui 240 000 habitantes enquanto que a Área de Governo Local da Cidade de Hobart possui 50 439 habitantes (2016). A cidade herdou seu nome de Robert Hobart, antigo secretário de Estado britânico para a Guerra e Colônias.
