Fortaleza is the state capital of Ceará, located in Northeastern Brazil. It is Brazil's fourth largest city, having surpassed Salvador in the 2022 IBGE Census, with an estimated population of over 2.5 million people. It is one of the richest cities in the country by gross domestic product and a major economic hub in the Northeast, with a GDP exceeding 75 billion reais.
