Ouro Preto es un municipio brasileño del estado de Minas Gerais, en la Región Sudeste del país. Está ubicado a una altitud de 1179 metros. En el censo de 2022 tenía 74 821 habitantes. Fue capital de Minas Gerais hasta el traslado de la capital a Belo Horizonte en 1897.
