Vitória es la capital del estado de Espírito Santo, en la región Sudeste de Brasil. Se localiza en una pequeña isla dentro de una bahía donde varios ríos desembocan al mar. Fundada en 1551, cuenta con una población de 359 555 habitantes y un área urbana de 105 km². La altitud promedio de la ciudad es de solo tres metros sobre el nivel del mar.
