Timbu o Timbú es la capital y mayor ciudad del Reino de Bután y del distrito homónimo. Según el censo de 2017, cuenta con una población estimada de 114 551 habitantes. La urbe constituye el mayor centro económico del país, ya que representa un 45 % del producto interior bruto nacional. Es una de las capitales a mayor altitud del mundo, después de ciudades como Quito y Sucre.
