Tesalónica (nombre oficial) o Salónica (nombre popular) es la segunda ciudad más importante y poblada de Grecia, capital de la periferia de Macedonia Central, y un puerto importante del norte del mar Egeo en el golfo Termaico. La ciudad tenía en el año 2022 una población de 319 045 habitantes censados y su área metropolitana 1 006 112 habitantes.
