Querétaro, oficialmente llamada Santiago de Querétaro, es la ciudad más poblada, así como capital, del estado de Querétaro, además de ser la cabecera del municipio homónimo. Está localizado en el sur del Bajío mexicano, a 221 kilómetros al noroeste de la Ciudad de México. Tiene una altitud media de 1820 m s. n. m.
